Associate Professor Jonathan J. Wisco
Dr. Jonathan J. Wisco is Associate Professor and Director of the Laboratory for Translational Anatomy of Degenerative Diseases and Developmental Disorders, Department of Anatomy and Neurobiology at Boston University School of Medicine.
The lab is interested in the anatomical validation of innovative neuroimaging and surgical techniques related to Alzheimer’s disease pathophysiology, and to vocal fold structural physiology.
In addition to basic science research, Dr. Wisco is interested in the educational scholarship of service-learning as an engaged learning pedagogical technique. He directs the national program, Anatomy Academy, which was established in 2012 to teach anatomy, physiology and nutrition concepts to elementary school children as an effort to combat the obesity epidemic through educational intervention, and to inspire kids to pursue science as a career.

Emeritus Professor Gareth Jones
Gareth Jones is Emeritus Professor of Anatomy at the University of Otago. For many years he was HOD of Anatomy, following which he was DVC (Academic and International) and then Director of the Bioethics Centre. He is a neuroscientist, an area in which he has published extensively.
In recent years he has developed his interests in bioethics, especially in relation to the dead human body, human tissue, and reproductive technologies. He has also been intimately involved in academic administration, including developing a leadership framework within the University.
The (tentative) title of Gareth's presentation is: Anatomy through the eyes of a pandemic: From online teaching to novel ethical dimensions.
Associate Professor Alexandra Webb
Alexandra Webb is an Associate Professor at the Medical School, College of Health & Medicine, Australian National University (ANU), Canberra, Australia.
Alex teaches anatomy to medical and science students and leads technology enhanced learning and teaching (TELT) at the Medical School. Dr Webb’s educational practice has been recognised with multiple awards, including Senior Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy, a national Australian Award for University Teaching and ANU Distinguished Educator. In her research, Dr Webb utilises a range of anatomical techniques & imaging procedures to advance knowledge of human structure & function to improve the diagnosis & management of musculoskeletal pain and disability. She also informs her educational practice by undertaking research in anatomy education and TELT.
