Professor Elle Gregory

Prof. Elle Gregory
Professor Elle Gregory is the Associate Dean Learning and Teaching (Faculty of Health) at the Queensland University of Technology, Brisbane Australia. Her PhD in bone adaptation has led the way in a strong research and teaching career in anatomy, anatomical variation and paediatric imaging. She currently leads the Clinical Anatomy and Paediatric Imaging research laboratory with a focus on improving anatomical knowledge through contemporary imaging techniques and advancing our understanding of the anatomy and bone health of children and subadults.
Her teaching experience spans over 20 years with a focus on anatomy education, including imaging anatomy, systematic anatomy, regional and sectional anatomy, histology and human donor dissection. Her innovative approaches to teaching maximise student success through collaborative student-centred learning design that leverages contemporary and future-focused technologies to prepare students for the real world of employment. Elle is a recipient of the Award for Teaching Excellence in the 2017 Australian Awards for University Teaching, and more recently was awarded the Australasian Society for Computers in Learning in Tertiary Education (ASCILITE) Outstanding Leadership in Digital Learning in Higher Education in 2023.
Elle currently leads the Digital Health Futures team at QUT in embedding digital capabilities and Generative AI into health science curricula, which was recognised with a Gold Award in the Reimagine Education Awards 2024 in the category of Developing Emerging Skills and Competencies. These awards recognise Elle's innovative and effective leadership in the application of digital technologies to enhance teaching, learning, and student success in higher education.
Professor David Morton

Prof. David Morton
Dr. Morton is a Professor of Neurobiology at Fox Spencer Eccles School of Medicine at the University of Utah where he also serves as Vice-Chair of Medical and Dental Education. He is a curriculum leader, directs multiple courses, and teaches anatomy, physiology, histology, and neuroanatomy to medical, dental, PA, PT and OT students.
Dr. Morton has received numerous teaching awards including the American Association for Anatomy’s (AAA) Henry Gray Distinguished Educator Award, the University of Utah’s Distinguished Teaching Award and the School of Medicine’s Jarcho Distinguished Teaching Award.
His research interests focus on the development and study of active learning strategies and the educational use of cadaver-donors. He is the author of several textbooks, including The Big Picture: Gross Anatomy and The Big Picture: Histology (McGraw Hill) as well as Gray’s Dissection Guide for Human Anatomy (Elsevier). His YouTube channel, The Noted Anatomist, serves students around the world and has received over 35 million views and more than 700,000 subscribers. Dr. Morton is an internationally recognized educator and speaker, a Fellow of the AAA, and a visiting professor at numerous international medical schools.
