We would like to welcome you to James Cook University, to attend the 15th Annual Conference of the Australian and New Zealand Association of Clinical Anatomists (ANZACA).
The theme this year is “Advances in Human Biology – education, research and technology”, as we are holding our annual meeting in collaboration with the Australasian Society for Human Biology (ASHB). The conference will provide an opportunity for networking with other clinical anatomy educators and researchers. We hope to attract doctors, surgeons, physiotherapists and anatomists who teach both undergraduate and/or postgraduate students.
This year the conference will be held at James Cook University in Townsville in Far North Queensland. The Welcome Event will be a Cocktail Reception held at "The Quarterdeck" on Sunday the 2nd of December. The conference proper will start on Monday the 3rd of December and will include two and a half days of presentations and posters, which will be followed by conference workshops, shared with the participants of the Australasian Society for Human Biology on Wednesday 5th December.
A range of accommodation will be available in the City of Townsville. Buses have been organised to take delegates to the university in the morning and bring them back to Palmer St at the conclusion of each day. As such, consider accommodation near to or on Palmer street, to reduce the need to walk to the bus each morning. Further information about actual collection point will be advised via an email nearer the time of travel.
The Conference Dinner will be held at the “Touch of Salt” at 86-124 Ogden St, Townsville City on the 4th of December, adjacent to the Ross River in the City, just a short walk from the accommodation.
